The General Assembly of the European Federation of Saint Martin Cultural Centers took place on Saturday June 7 in Tours. We were delighted to welcome all 14 partners of our European network. After reports on the many activities of the Federation’s members, Samuel Leturcq gave a talk on wine and vineyards in Touraine. This was followed by rich exchanges between all our partners on future projects and prospects.
The AGM was held at the Hôtel de Ville de Tours, thanks to the support of the city. An evening celebration of 20 years of the Saint Martin de Tours European Cultural Route followed in a warm and convivial atmosphere. On Sunday June 8, our European friends discovered Candes-Saint-Martin, one of
France’s Most Beautiful Villages, at the confluence of the Vienne and Loire rivers, where Saint Martin died, and the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, in the Pays de la Loire region on the Via Sancti Martini towards Ligugé. These were wonderful moments of joyful exchange, sharing experiences, languages and projects, which will remain in the memory of the Via Sancti Martini.
